After a nearly three year absence from the market, Michter’s then Master Distiller Willie Pratt finally gave the green light for the re-release of Michter’s 10 Year Straight Rye in April 2014."
Chatham Imports, the new owners of the Michter's name started a new company called Michter's Distillery LLC, and operated as an NDP for a number of years, meaning they sourced their whiskeys from other distilleries and bottled it under their own name. Many of these releases have been incredibly sought after, with some early releases of their Michters 10 year old single barrel bourbons rumored to have been sourced from the legendary Stitzel-Weller Distillery.
