Domaine Potinet Ampeau Meursault 2015

It is in the small village of monthelie, in the heart of the côte de beaune that the potinet-ampeau estate is located. since 2003, the 10 hectares of vines are in the hands of vincent, grandson of chantal durrieu. from puligny-montrachet to pommard, through volnay, meursault, auxey-duresses and of course monthelie, the potinet-ampeau estate offers 18 different appellations (10 whites and 8 reds). what is the common thread of these cuvées? an artisanal approach, a deep respect for the know-how of the elders and wines made for aging. vincent makes it a point of honor to always respect the terroir in its most singular form. parcel by parcel, according to the soil, the weather and the vintage, he favors a gentle vinification and maturation. for him, it is out of the question to intervene excessively or to rush a wine: burgundy is above all a land of patience, potinet ampeau meursault 1970 has rich golden color. very developed nose showing aroma of mushrooms, herbs and sugarcane. the palate is certainly better than the nose and tasted much younger. impressive for a 46 years old village blanc. a wine full of heritage that will take you on a journey through history.
